Under the Tuscan moon

When a simple coffee date turns into a delectable evening of gastronomical proportions, I know the Gods have been dying to feed the “diet-weary” me.

Last Wednesday evening's “Awesome Secret Foodies Tour” at Tuscany was a wonderful sneak peek into Megaworld’s newest foodie hub. Tuscany at McKinley Hill is a Megaworld Lifestyle Mall which houses some of Metro’s best-kept culinary secrets. Although it echoes a certain Italian vibe in terms of interiors and feel, the choices of restaurants are as global as it goes.

I was surprised to see the row of restaurants welcoming us amidst a very picturesque residential community. Being a Megaworld resident myself in another part of the Metro, this was topnotch piece of development I must say.

Lead by chatterbox RJ Ledesma and the Awesome blogger Anton Diaz, the “Secret Foodies Tour" had us jumping from one establishment to another, in a deliciously-dizzying degustation menu of around 20 dishes from 8 different restos.

Planet Grapes – Wine on a vending machine? Awesome! I went over the per person limit, oops got carried away lol

Trattoria Poggio Antico – Filipino-owned Trattoria showcased the finest stuff of Italy both in live music, wines and of course, the food.

With Mr. Anton Diaz,
awesome fan moment!

The wonderful apertif samplers of Trattoria.
My fave of them all:  Oyster on Liver Pate and Pomodoro Mozarella Crostini.

B&T Mexican Kitchen  - Generous mexican servings that left us feeling oh-so full. Recos:  mango glazed habanero chicken & the burrito
Jalapeno Poppers - hot to the bite

Baby back ribs

Four Season's Pizza - two thumbs up!

Dow Jones (US T-Bone with prawns, potato wedges & roasted veggies) good choice for only P 1,200

The Pannacotta

Sauceria

Italian Coca amongst others
