A visit to Podium mall satisfies my fancy for things quirky and different - but most importantly, functional. "Make it Up" is a wonderful source of one-of-a-kind home and room decor that adds fun to your home & lifestyle! Old things are given new life & with new purpose. Some things you'd never even imagine.

This cool shop is the brainchild of industrial engineer/artist friend Mitch Shivers. His creations are brilliantly ideated and handcrafted by him and of course, assisted by his awesome crew. If you chance upon him at the shop, he would gladly "curate" his store as he did to me. Like an art museum, you say? Well yes, because that's how I see his treasure trove of inventive decor and knick knacks.

No more run-of-the-mill department store decors, guys. The Dali-ish style of thinking and design is amazing, very very inspired and a bit of wacko when you think about it. LOL (no offense Mitch!) 

I'm such a fan, obviously. In fact, I've got my Shivers "floppy disk chair" to prove it.
